Button Necklace

Ever seen some buttons in Walmart and thought, how beautiful it will look in a necklace? Well, recently I got this crazy idea and bought a bunch of those buttons and after a little bit of work (and lot of gluing) made this necklace.

So,do you like it? If yes and want to make one for yourself, let's get started.

We will need a lot of buttons, these buttons comes 3 in a pack and I bought it from Walmart. I bought a lot, I used 17 of them in this necklace.

Other supplies are jump rings, closure, a chain, pliers and glue (epoxy)

Lay your pattern as you want to make your necklace. I wanted my necklace like this.

Turn the buttons upside down and lay your cut chain over it. (how long you want your necklace to be, that would be the measurement for your chain)

Take your glue and start gluing your buttons on the chain, do half at a time because you have to press the glued buttons so that it sticks with the chain and you will not be able to stick the whole chain once at a time. So, you have to wait at least 30 minutes before you can try the other half of the chain. Your chain will look like this now.

Once this part is done, now we have to attach the tassel part (you can skip this part if you want your necklace like this).
Cut your chain according to the size of your tassel and with the help of jump ring hold it in the loop of the button ( on the backside of the button).

Now take two more buttons, lay it on your chain upside down and glue it (again press it with something and wait patiently). After 20-30 minutes of patience, this is what you will see.

Now attach the jump ring to the chain on one side and closure to the other end of the chain. That's it, done.

Now love it and wear it proudly:-)

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and will enjoy making one for yourself. Share pictures with me if you make one. Happy crafting everyone.
