Leather Braided Bracelet

Like I told you I will post more about leather accessories, so, I kept my promise and this time it's not about necklace or earrings. This time I tried my hands on a bracelet. I like the outcome. I knew I would make a braided bracelet but I was so confused which braiding technique to use until I saw this chain sinnet tutorial. This is a great tutorial to make a bracelet, a necklace or even belt. This is the finished bracelet.

So like I always ask you if you want to make one for yourself, gather your supplies.

Leather cord (mine is around 36 inches).

Long nose hole punch pliers (Michaels) (for punching leather)
Jump rings (2)

This is the best chain sinnet tutorial you can use to make your bracelet, so I am not repeating it here. This is how it will look after braiding is done.

Burn the ends with lighter to stop fraying.

This is the end part.

Take it inside the braid and glue it (I used Epoxy glue). Let it dry.

Repeat on the other side. Punch the cord at both the ends with the long nose hole punch pliers to make a hole for jump rings. Sorry I wasn't able to take picture of this step.

Open jump ring with pliers. Put on both the ends and loop closure in one jump ring.

This is how finished bracelet will look.

It's very easy to make and even  kids will enjoy making this bracelet. Share a picture with me if you make one. Let me know your views and suggestions. Happy crafting...

  1. Very nice bracelet...thank you for tut and for the link to the sennet knot. I saw several knots there that I'm interested in trying out.
